The "Writer
Darlene's all consuming ambition is a good fuck.
When interviewed by Dominique for the position of Glory-Girl she is rejected but, when asked what she does, in order to "to create an identity before one is created for me", she says she is a writer . The only problem is that she has no idea how to "be a writer" except to buy a notebook and a laptop computer, act preoccupied, and compulsively change her hair color to another insane shade of red.
When unexpectedly cast in the role of author of Dominiques's fictionalized auto- biography, DANCING WITH THE WITCH, Dominique shows an "interest" in her because she recognizes, in her, what, except for fortune, she herself might have become. Darlene finds herself completely beyond her depth
