This illustration, my second 3-d hand isn't finished. It has taken conciderably less time to achieve much better definition. This is a poor screen shot- not as sharp as a rendered image (which I haven't learned to do yet) would be. Also, as I am just beginning to learn how to shade and texture, the color and texture are basic and a little strange.
The hand, especially in the tops of the fingers at the knuckles, is not quite right but it's closer. Each step forward excites me more as I see that once I am comfortable using Maya and can focus on creative expression it will completely revolutionize my imaging ability. Although I am not really tremendously interested in imaging, still, the ability to use it for illustrating and animating is exciting.
