This is the beginning of my illustration for chapter 2- Tara.

I'm inventing the composition as I go along. I begin with thinking about the story. The suitcase came to mind first and so, I built a suitcase, including the trim, the handle, even the pin that holds he handle to the body. I'm not sure at this point where this is going but one thing will lead me to the next and, eventually, I will have a composition which either will or will not work.

At this point I don't expect that any of these illustrations will be finished. Just as I first create a first draft and then edit it, I plan to create all the illustrations and, after seeing everything connected, go back and modify until it all works together smoothly.
